FAQ

What precautions are you taking during Covid-19?

I have received both of my Covid-19 Vaccines and a Booster. I will wear a mask if requested and make sure to sanitize before entering a client's home. I make sure to clean my gear between sessions. When dealing with newborns, I ask what level of comfort the parents have with me touching or moving the baby. For outdoor photoshoots, it's a bit easier to be distant. My lenses allow for me to stay 6 feet or more from my subjects, so that's a huge plus! If you have questions or concerns, don't hesitate to contact me.

What community do you serve?

My home base is in Rowley, MA but I photograph awesome people all over the North Shore and the Greater Boston and MetroWest areas of Massachusetts.

Do you take candids or posed photos?

Both! Every photo session will include both posed and candid images.

How old should newborns be for a newborn photo session?

Typically, I photograph newborns within the first 2 weeks of life, but that isn't always the case! Newborn sessions can take place from just days old to around 4 weeks of age. It is best to reach out to me before the birth, so together we can figure out what timeframe works best for your family.

Can siblings be included in a lifestyle newborn photoshoot?

Yes! Siblings, pets, grandparents, and anyone (within reason) important to this new life is invited to join the session. We will talk about whom you'd like to be included in your newborn session during our consultation.

Where will my photoshoot take place?

For newborn and family lifestyle photo sessions, I come to your home. For all other portrait sessions, we will work together to find the best location for your vision.

What times are your photo sessions?

Typically, I photograph newborn lifestyle sessions in the mornings before noon. Family and portrait sessions taking place outdoors are usually photographed 3 hours before and up to sunset. Depending on the time of year, times are subject to change.

How long do photo sessions take?

Because I aim to provide everyone I work with a relaxed and comfortable photo taking experience, I allow for every photo session (yes, every session) to take up to 3 hours. Most sessions will take on average 1-1.5 hours with the exception of newborn sessions, which usually take 2-3 hours.

What do I wear to my photoshoot?

This question is subjective. I want you to feel comfortable in the clothing you choose. We'll work together to ensure that your wardrobe matches your vision. If all else fails, choose neutrals or solid colors that aren't too busy. Also, steer clear of logos.

Can I bring more than one outfit?

Yes. As long as time allows for it, you are free to change into another outfit. We will discuss how many outfits you'd like to be photographed in during our consultation.

Are pets allowed in family photo sessions?

Absolutely! I believe pets are family members. As long as the location we are going to allows for animals, I have no problem with pets being in family portrait sessions.

How and when will I see my proofs?

I will send you an email that contains a link and a password to your own online viewing gallery within about 2 weeks.

After I contact you, what are our next steps?

After you contact me, I contact you! We will set up a time to connect. This is our consultation. It is a way for us to get to know each other and a way for me to get to know and understand your vision. If you decide to book a session with me, I ask for a $200 non-refundable deposit to reserve your session date and time. I ask that the the remainder of your balance be paid 24 hours before our session.
